About the Department
Commerce education in India began in 1886 with the establishment of a Commercial School in Chennai, (erstwhile Madras). Embarked on this voyage NPR Arts and Science College in Natham, established the Department of Commerce with Computer Application in the academic year 2007-2008 at the UG level.
The Department offers a comprehensive, contemporary, and value-added curriculum with prescribed syllabus by Madurai Kamaraj University under the CBCS pattern. The Department has well-enriched faculty members with the qualifications of M.Phil. with PGDCA and Doctorates. The Department offers an elective option for students with updating their theory and practical knowledge, skills, and tools needed to make them competitive in a global economic environment.
